Are you curious about the difference between a mother essence tincture and the quart size tincture?
The mother essence tincture:
~you strain the placenta solids after the steeping period
~9oz glass jar
~delivered with the capsules
~a small piece of placenta is used (size of about 1 thumb)
The quart size tincture:
~is steeped for 6-8 weeks
~quart size glass jar
~I occasionally shake the jar and then strain the placenta solids after the macerating (or steeping) period
~you receive a dropper bottle with some tincture inside
~a larger portion of the placenta is used (size of about 4 thumbs)
~delivered to you separately after the steeping time
If you aren't sure which one will fit your intentions, let us know so we can answer help you decide.
What is a tincture?
A tincture is an herb (or in this case a small piece of your placenta) left to macerate (or steep) in a medium. Commonly the medium used is 100 proof vodka, although other mediums can be used such as vinegar or glycerin. After it macerates, the herbs are strained and squeezed in cheesecloth letting the extra liquid drip back into the container that holds the tincture. Now, you have your tincture!
What is the usefulness of a placenta tincture?
~can boost the child's immune system during illness, difficult times, or times of transition.
~create balance during menopause
~balance hormones (e.g PMS, times of stress)
~boost mom's immune system too
~when stored properly (dark, cool place) it can last indefinitely
